What is the point of wireless charging?
Having one wireless charging standard means you can charge your phone in cafes, bars, airports and cars. It is also convenient over night or having one in your desk by your computer. Pick up the phone, answer the messages and put it back on the charger.
How does a charging pad work?
Wireless charging uses two resonant inductive couplings to transmit low-power signals between two devices. The coil in your Android device is also connected to the battery charging circuit, and your battery is charged using the energy induced by the magnetic field.
Is a wireless charger worth it?
Yes, if you’re not looking for a fast charger, or if you’re only charging your phone at night while you sleep, then a wireless charger could work for you. But for the most part, you can’t use your phone while it charges wirelessly. If you take your phone off the wireless charger to do anything, it’ll stop charging.
How do you use a wireless charging pad?
Plug the charging pad into the wall and place your phone (or other Qi-enabled device) on it to charge. As long as your device and the charger support the same standard, it will just work.
