What happens if my AirPods are stolen?
Apple says that if AirPods are lost or stolen, you’ll have to buy new ones, just like any other Apple product. There’s no anti-theft measures in place to protect your shiny wireless earbuds. That said, if one of your two AirPods is lost or stolen, Apple says you’ll be able to buy just one.
Can you track AirPods with serial number?
The serial number* is on the underside of the lid: If your AirPods are connected to your iOS device, you can also go to Settings > General > About > AirPods for the serial number: If you don’t have your charging case, but you have the original packaging, you can find the serial number next to the barcode.
Can AirPods be tracked?
To track your AirPods, you can do so via either iCloud.com or the “Find iPhone” app on iPad and iPhone. To use the feature, open the Find iPhone app and look for “AirPods” in your list of devices. From there, you can see where your AirPods are located on a map and in relation to your other Apple products.

But what if your Airpods get lost, or worse, stolen? Well, if the thief has an iPhone, iPad or Mac they can easily reset the product and make it their own. Unfortunately, there’s no way you can block your lost or stolen Airpods as they’re not connected to Wi-Fi. If you’re lucky enough you might be able locate them.
Can I track my AirPods if they’ve been reset?
The person may have reset them, but even if they didn’t you wouldn’t get any location updates unless the thief walked by and remained in range of your device long enough for the AirPods to pair. The reset doesn’t change the identity of the bluetooth module so that may have nothing to do with locating them, either.
